Yixing Gongfu Tea Pitcher

A tea pitcher is referred to as the "gong dao hu" during gongfu tea ceremonies. Gong dao hu can be translated as “the fairness pot.” Without a serving pitcher, tea continues to steep as it’s being poured from the teapot, resulting an uneven brew for each guest. Steeped tea is instead poured into this pitcher before it is shared with others so all guests receive tea of the same strength. 

This pitcher is made of traditional yixing clay, to match teapots and tea cups made in the typical Chinese-style.
