The large, bold leaves, and rich, roasted, slightly nutty flavor of this excellent oolong make it a good introduction to Imperial Tea Court's world famous collection of Tie Guan Yin teas.
GROWING REGION
Fujian, China: Fujian is a coastal province in southeastern China where the finest oolong, white, and jasmine teas are produced. According to the written record, teas have been produced there for well over 1,600 years. Growers currently produce five different categories of tea, most of which originated in the province.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend infusing Fancy Tieguanyin with 85-95C (185-203F) water for approximately 2-4 minutes (using about 1 tsp. per serving). Re-steep 3-4 times by increasing time and water temperature for each infusion. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.
It's been a while since I've enjoyed an excellent Tieguanyin. This one is definitely 'Fancy" and I'm enjoying it immensely.

Good flavor and some nice floral aromas, but not as orchids-floral as the four season green oolong. I got three pretty good infusions from one serving. The second one really opened up the flavor. This tea is not as light as the 4 season oolong and has a slight mineral taste, that perhaps I’m just not used too. Still, all and all, a nice tea. Steve

Doesn't have the nuance of the monkey-picked, but doesn't have the price either and it's a very flavorful tea with some complexity.
