The focus on Yunnan's world-famous black and puerh teas have caused many to mistakenly ignore the excellent green teas produced in Yunnan. The abundant large, tippy leaf buds of the Yunnan’s Da Yeh varietal make beautiful and artful green teas. Yunnan Qu Hao is a partially curled leaf covered entirely with white down. The infusion yields a yellowish-green cup that exudes a dried apricot-like aromatic, distinct to Yunnan teas. It also has the familiar texture and richness of Yunnan teas. With this year's chaotic situation in Eastern China's tea-growing regions, we felt like it was time to look in the Southwest for green teas, and we’re very happy we did!

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
Yunnan teas are known for their strong flavors so over-steeping can cause bitterness, putting a damper on your tea experience. We recommend 3 grams of tea for 5-6 oz of water as a starting point. Use freshly heated water that is hot, but not boiling for a short 30-second to one-minute infusion. Drain the steeped tea into another cup, and wait for it to cool a bit before enjoying. As always, start with fresh, good tasting water, and adjust the steeping time, and the amount of leaves used according to your own personal preferences.
