Yunnan is known as the land of the southern clouds. This great southwestern highland is known as the homeland of tea and is a major tea-producing region with superb natural resources. Yunnan is known for its excellent puerh teas, that have been produced and trade for more than a thousand years. But not until 1938, when the Yunnan Tea Import and Export Corporation was established, the production of dian hong, or Yunnan black tea, start producing world-famous black teas. Our Superior Yunnan Black has plenty of shimmering gold tips with a bright, clear amber liquor. Deep, rich flavors of fruit and gentle spices accompany a lusciously full-bodied mouthfeel. It’s produced to develop a particularly sweet and well-rounded cup with fruit and chocolate undertones. Excellent value for special occasions.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
To prepare Superior Yunnan Black tea we recommend either a regular teapot, individual steeping cups, or a miniature Yixing clay pot. Allow approximately one teaspoon of leaf per person and infuse for 1-3 minutes in near boiling water, depending on desired strength. Superior Yunnan may be re-steeped several times. After the first infusion you may wish to gradually increase the steeping time, and for the third and subsequent infusions, water which has just come to a boil may be used.
