BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
Gently break the cake apart by hand or by using a puerh knife. Start from the edge of the cake and work your way in. It’s best to break the entire cake up and blend all the leaves together before steeping. For storage, rewrap the tea back using its original paper and place into your favorite tea storage tin or urn for safe keeping. Sheng puerhs tend to display more strength and can be aggressive. While some suggest using boiling water for all puerhs, we recommend using near boiling water (around 80C) for multiple shorter infusions. Start with a baseline of 3-5 grams of tea per 6-8 oz of water. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.
