This is a high-grown green tea that has been scented with fresh jasmine blossoms. Typically, jasmine blossoms are removed after scenting. However, we've added some freshly dried jasmine blossoms to this tea to enhance its visual appeal. The secret to this tea is low and short—meaning brew short infusions in low-temperature water. This preserves the green tea flavor without losing the jasmine aromatics. Low-temperature brewing creates an infusion with less intensity and avoids bitterness, while allowing the delicate fragrance and mouth-feel to shine without overpowering the rich green tea flavor.
GROWING REGION
Anhui, China: Province in southeastern China, known for producing black teas in the late 1800’s. A number of excellent green and black teas are now grown in the region.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
To best showcase this Jasmine and Keemun combination, we suggest using approximately 3 grams of tea per 6 oz of water and brew for 1 minute with low to mid-temperature before decanting into another cup to enjoy. Always adjust steeping time, temperature and quantity of leaves according to your own preference.
I enjoy it - just right amount of jasmine to enjoy the aroma. and good green tea too. I am especially happy that the company is packing the teas in paper and not plastic. Now i wish there was a different material than plastic to house the teas themselves. Or maybe it is not plastic? Please tell us since i know plastic is toxic and gives off microplastics, both of which are being shown to negatively affect human health. Thank you.
