Due to the wildly popularized consumer demands in China, production of black tea has grown by leaps and bounds. Changing consumer palates abroad, however, do not always translate well to westernstyles of tea preparation. So I was inspired to add an additional dimension to this modern Chinese black tea. This particular one is an exceptional example from the Fujian province of China, also known as Min. We decided to infuse the tea with jasmine flowers, scenting the tea with fresh flowers seven different times. The result is a black tea with a huge amount of golden tips, beautiful to look at in its pure leaf form and due to the infusion of jasmine, the elegant floral notes displaced that bothersome astringency and in its place imparted an extraordinary combination of floral and fruit notes, enriching the viscosity and texture of the mouth-feel. We are very proud of this new adaptation and we are sure you will enjoy it as well.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
During cupping, we have discovered that a mid-temperature infusion of 2-3 minutes using 3-5 grams produces a wonderful deep red liquor. We suggest trying this with a fine porcelain cup or Gaiwan. Drain into another cup to enjoy. Multiple infusions are encouraged. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.
I am a black tea drinker, but I acquired a liking for jasmine teas when I happened to be shopping in Chinatown as the new jasmine teas arrived. The aroma was tantalizing and I picked up some, hoping to get the same satisfaction from the green tea version. While the fragrance was pleasing, the lack of body left me wanting something more substantial. Then I discovered some distributors offered a "black jasmine" version and I tried various mixes that either did not contain the depth of jasmine I craved or the tea base overpowered the jasmine. This blend of quality black tea and fragrant jasmine is the best combination I have ever found. I really enjoy relaxing with this tea when I've had a difficult day as I find it soothing and calming. .

I have fallen into a black tea rut. Tired of the same old tea--wanted to try something a little "lighter" with a different mouth feel. This tea delivers! What an exceptional cup! The aroma is complex and the taste is superb. I never drink me Imperial Tea Court teas with milk or sugar, and steeping this at a bit of a lower temp brought out all the flavors.
