One of our most popular teapots ever! This charming little teapot elegant, simple, and classic. It's made with a superior grade of yixing clay that provides the rich color and texture that typifies good yixing teapots. The wider body design gives tealeaves plenty of room to expand, while the domed lid allows better air circulation during steeping.
We created this pot by changing the typical design of a shui ping hu, flattening the body to give it a wider interior for better leaf expansion. Also we made angled the spout more aggressively to provide better water flow. This is an attractive, high quality teapot that will appeal to beginners as well as aficionados and gongfu tea practitioners.
