is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Our Aged Hong Mei Mao Feng is an uncommon black tea from Zhejiang. Its Chinese name translates as "Red Plum Flower Tip." Mao feng refers to the style of leaf, which resembles a pointy blade. This particular tea is made with the most delicate mao feng possible, consisting exclusively jet black tips that are beautifully twisted into a long, thin, springy strand. The leaf is rolled by hand three times, with intervals in between to control oxidation, to produce the beautiful shape. In this aged version of Hong Mei Mao Feng, you'll notice a pronounced concentration of flavors and aroma that highlights this tea's unique preserved plum taste. An extraordinarily fragrant and robustly flavorful tea that connoisseurs will love.
GROWING REGION
Zhejiang, China. Zhejiang is an eastern coastal province with a humid, subtropical climate. One of the most famous tea producing regions in China, records of tea production date back 1,500 years to the the Wei and Jin Dynasties.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
As always, good water is essential, so please select high-quality, filtered water to brew your favorite tea. We enjoyed steeping this tea with near-boiling (208º F) water, using 3 grams in a 6 oz. Gaiwan.
Complex, in a good way. Don't spoil it with milk or cream.

As the two teas I purchased are part of my regular supplies, I have already reviewed them. My topic this time is the shopping cart errors. Each of the last two times I have attempted to order using the web, the shopping cart produces an error screen that lists only alpha-numeric are viable in all fields. I place no extraneous symbols including periods, hyphens, decimal points or dollar signs, yet I cannot proceed. My only option appears to be a phone order. I have already sent an explanation of how to improve the error messages with direct screen highlights of problems, but it would be nice to have the web master check out my suggestions and make appropriate corrections so I can stop wasting personnel time with phone calls.

A rich black tea with plum overtones, yet no infusion or blending to produce the fruity aftertaste. Perfect for a winter's afternoon break.
