Winter Harvest Phoenix Oolong
Huang Zhi Xiang is an incredibly rich, spiced varietal with natural cooling notes that come through with striking intensity. It was produced in the perfect microclimate, with careful hand-picking techniques, and 24+ hour continuous hand processing and finishing. Only a few kilos are harvested every year, and we are excited for the privilege to share it with you.
Guangdong, China: The Eastern province of Guangdong, once known as Canton, is a subtropical region, strongly influenced from the moist air of the South China Sea. Here oolong, black, puerh and green teas are grown. Among Guangdong teas, oolong from Wu Dong in the Feng Huang Shan (Phoenix Mountain) area is most highly regarded.
We recommend a steeping time 1-3 minutes with 90C/194F water. Huang Zhi Xiang Phoenix Oolong may be infused several times. After the first infusion, you may wish to increase both steeping time and/or water temperature. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.
