Winter Harvest Imperial Green Oolong
DESCRIPTION
This ultra-popular Oolong has been one of our best-sellers since the Imperial Tea Court first opened in 1993. This winter-harvested batch continues our tradition of offering beautifully hand-crafted, high-grown oolongs.
GROWING REGION
Taiwan: Formally known as Formosa, Taiwan is a renowned producer of oolong teas. The oldest tea plants were found in Shi Sha Lein. Commercial cultivation began there in 1841. Li Shan and Nantou are known for its distinctive style of high mountain oolongs.
BREWING SUGGESTIONS
Use approximately 5 grams of leaf per 8 oz of water and brew with water 90C or 1Â 90FÂ (just before boiling). Infuse about 2 minutes, allow tea to cool off a little before enjoying. Like all good Oolong teas, the Winter Harvest Imperial Green Oolong may be re-steeped multiple times by gradually increasing steeping time on each successive steeping. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.
I brew many types of green tea and the first time I brewed this tea I asked myself what so special about this tea. Then I brewed it at a little hotter temperature and behold a marvelous green oolong.
I am delighted with this new tea and hope you can keep it permanently stocked. I’m with you, green oolong is my favorite and this one is exceptional.
