Winter Harvest Imperial Green Oolong
$24.00 – $81.00 — available on subscription
We rarely offer a winter harvest oolong tea from Tiawan, let alone our most popular green oolong. However, this year’s winter harvest from the famed Fu Shou Shan region not only retains its trademark mouth feel and viscosity, it adds hints of honey and wild flowers! The liquor is bright yellow and the finish is sweet and long lasting. It would be wonderful paired with lighter meats or fish dishes as well. You could also pair it with a good vanilla ice cream or light peach desert. Enjoy!
Taiwan: Formally known as Formosa, Taiwan is a renowned producer of oolong teas. The oldest tea plants were found in Shi Sha Lein. Commercial cultivation began there in 1841. Li Shan and Nantou are known for its distinctive style of high mountain oolongs.
Use approximately 5 grams of leaf per 8 oz of water and brew with water 90C or 1 90F (just before boiling). Infuse about 2 minutes, allow tea to cool off a little before enjoying. Like all good Oolong teas, the Winter Harvest Imperial Green Oolong may be re-steeped multiple times by gradually increasing steeping time on each successive steeping. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.
