DESCRIPTION

This spring’s fluctuating weather made it difficult to obtain high-quality Dragon Wells. However, we are happy to report that we have managed to obtain a small, limited edition of an excellent high-altitude Dragon Well tea produced in the famed “Lion’s Peak” style. As with today’s ultra-expansive “Lion’s Peak” Dragon Well, this style of Dragon Well is noted for its larger leaf shape and unique chestnut-like toastiness. When infused, “Lion’s Peak” Dragon Well is as full-bodied and as luscious as any green tea can be. It takes immense effort to acquire this small production, and we are honored to share it with you.

GROWING REGION

Zhejiang, China: Zhejiang, China is an eastern coastal province with a humid, subtropical climate. One of the most famous tea-producing regions in China, records of tea production here date back as early as the Wei and Jin Dynasties, 1500 years ago.

BREWING SUGGESTIONS

Use a slightly higher temperature (70-75C) infusion to help release the multiple layers of flavor available with this great Dragon Well tea. Approximately 5-7 oz of tea in a standard thin porcelain Gaiwan for 1-3 minutes will do. Always adjust the quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your preferences. For those who prefer a stronger cup, a quick infusion with hot water can bring more intensity as well.
