DESCRIPTION

Since Jiangxi province is well-known for producing renowned porcelain — including tea ware — in Jingdezhen, it’s no surprise that great teas are produced in this region as well. In addition to the famous Lu Shan Yun Wu tea, Jiangxi’s famous green tea is the Gougunao Green Tea. Gou means dog, and guano refers to a bull’s head. The tea is rumored to be named after a mountain that resembles a large dog, as big as a bull’s head! The abundant amounts of amino acids, tea polyphenols and other minerals help give this tea its unique fragrance with a deep, textured flavor and sweet finish.

GROWING REGION

Jiangxi, China

BREWING SUGGESTIONS

We suggest 3-5 grams of tea per 6-8 oz water. Infuse with water for 1-3 minutes in a thin porcelain Gaiwan or cup. A starting temperature of 70C-158F is recommended. Decant the infused tea into a second cup before enjoying. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.
