Spring Harvest Imperial Green Oolong
This extraordinary high mountain Oolong has been selected from the famed Foshou Shan region. Harvested at around 2600 meters, this makes the Imperial Green Oolong one of the highest grown tea in our inventory. Our Imperial Green Oolong features exceptionally full-bodied textures, a silky mouth-feel, and deep layers of flavor. The finish is sweet and cleansing, complimented by sweet melon tones with hints of orchid and Osmanthus flowers.
Taiwan: Formally known as Formosa, Taiwan is a renowned producer of oolong teas. The oldest tea plants were found in Shi Sha Lein. Commercial cultivation began there in 1841. Li Shan and Nantou are known for its distinctive style of high mountain oolongs.
In order to showcase the floral and complex layers of flavor, good water is enormously important. We suggest 5-7 grams of tea per 8 oz of water. Steep with near boiling water for a minimum of approximately 2 minutes. Repeated steepings are recommended. This tea is also an excellent candidate for practicing traditional gongfu tea. Always adjust quantity of leaves, infusion time, and water temperature according to your personal preferences.
