Anhui, China: Anhui is a province in southeastern China, widely known for producing black teas in the late 1800’s. A number of excellent green teas grow here as well as the famous qi men (or keemun) black tea.
BREWING SUGGESTIONS
To prepare Huo Shan Huang Ya we recommend infusion in a traditional covered steeping cup (although a regular teapot is also serviceable). Place 1-2 teaspoons of leaf into a pre-warmed Gaiwan and fill with with 65-75C (149-158F). Infuse for 1 to 2 minutes, cover and drink or pour out into tasting cups. Huo Shan Huang Ya may be brewed multiple times by gradually increasing steeping time and water temperature.
