Bamboo Puerh Knife
DESCRIPTION
Roy found this handy and attractive bamboo puerh knife in a teashop in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan, the home of puerh tea, and couldn’t wait to bring it back to Imperial Tea Court customers. The knife is designed to help break off chunks of puerh bing cha. Simply insert the knife into the edge of the cake and gently twist off a teapot-sized slab. The middle part of the cake is generally compressed harder and doesn’t break off as easily as the thinner edges. But, as the cake ages, it becomes easier to break apart. If you enjoy bing cha this special-purpose implement is a must for your tea table!
