DESCRIPTION

One of our most popular teas. A blend of high-quality black teas that’s deliciously crisp and full of body. Perfect to be sweetened with honey and a wedge of lemon or served with milk and sugar anytime. Our Asian Paradise blend is also perfect for Hong Kong-style milk tea or even made into a great iced tea!

GROWING REGION

Anhui, China. A province in southeastern China, known for producing black teas in the late 1800’s. A number of excellent green teas are also grown in the area.

BREWING SUGGESTIONS

We recommend using a standard, pre-warmed teapot filled with approximately 3 grams of leaf per 8-10 oz of water. Infuse 2-3 minutes with near-boiling water. Serve on its own, or try with honey and lemon or milk and sugar. A great blend for iced tea, too.

  1. My new afternoon favorite, served slightly sweet with grass-fed whole milk? I absolutely adore. If it is true that this is the tea Slanted Door uses for its Hong Kong milk tea, then that’s how I found you. Glad I did.

  2. Ever since I first had the Slanted Door’s Hong Kong milk tea, I wanted to know where they got their tea. Imagine my delight to discover it was here! I love this blend. It tastes great on its own, but is extra delicious when paired with sweetened condensed milk.

  3. We had this particular tea at the Slanted Door (it was the Hong Kong milk tea), and our server told us what it was. Too bad we didn’t know that there’s a shop at the Ferry Building, so we ended up ordering it by mail. As the package says, do resteep the tea once—it’s still terrific. The Slanted Door serves it with sweetened condensed milk. I use a combination of milk, cream and agave syrup. Yum!

  4. Enjoy a strong cup for breakfast. May be brewed several times with a continued good flavor

  5. Ran into Imperial Tea at Ferry Bldg on a recent trip to SF. I live in DC, but like getting my tea from closer to the source, China. I love this particular blend of black tea. I bought my own single tea pot with a stainless diffuser. I enjoy it every morning.
