Just in time for the Year of the Pig is a specially commissioned Phoenix Oolong Red. This is a Phoenix Oolong produced using a combination of oolong and black tea techniques. Black teas are referred to as ‘red’ in Chinese because of liquor color, inspiring the festive name of this tea. The leaf style is large, dark and tightly rolled and steeps with a deep red infusion. This tea has unforgettable notes of honey and flowers, a medium-thick textured mouth-feel and a long intense finish. A slight hint of ripe peach ties the whole package together.
