We rarely offer a
winter harvest Oolong tea from Tiawan, let alone our most popular
green style
Oolong. However, this year’s winter harvest from the famed Fu Shou Shan region
not only retains its trademark big mouth feel and almost chewy viscosity, it
has hints of honey and wild flowers! The liquor is bright yellow and the finish
is oh so sweet and long lasting. This is a tea that will stand alone and
shine anytime you’re ready.
It would be wonderful paired with lighter meat or
fish dishes as well. For those who wants to be different, brew this tea with
hot water and wait for it to cool down. Pair it with a good vanilla ice cream
or light peach desert. Enjoy!
PREPARATION:
Use approximately 5 grams of leaf per 8 oz of water and
brew with water 90°C or 1
90°F (just before boiling). Infuse about 2 minutes,
allow tea to cool off a little before enjoying. Always adjust time,
water temperature, and leaf quantity based on your personal preferences.
Like all good Oolong teas, the Imperial Green Oolong may be re-steeped
multiple times by gradually increasing steeping time on each successive
steeping.
