Roy Fong went above & beyond to help me get tea for a gift.  Customer service beyond expectations. Thank you! This plus great tea is why I'm a long time loyal customer.

This Yunnan is not quite as good as the Imperial, and has some harsh notes. I find that using more leaf and steeping for only 2 minutes works well to reduce the harshness but giving it more body.

5 of 5 The best deal in black teas August 19, 2013
Reviewer: Dennis Emberling from Littleton, CO United States
Of all the great black teas ITC offers, this one is the best deal. It is almost as good as Yunnan Royal Gold, but at about 1/3 the price! The Royal Gold is just a bit smoother and more delicate, but not really better.

This is one of Roy's Great Teas of China in his book. With the problems besetting Keemuns in recent years, this tea is left as the premier Chinese black.

I like it with 2 tsp. per 5 oz. at 193 F for 3 minutes. I brew a total of 3 infusions, although the 3rd one is pretty mild.
