Puerh Teapot Brush
Puerh Teapot Brush

Price: $6.50

Roy found this handy and attractive multipurpose tea tool in a teashop in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan, the home of puerh tea, and couldn't wait to bring it back to Imperial Tea Court customers. Use the brush to clean the surface of aged puerh bing cha, removing mold and dust. It's also handy for brushing up the "crumbs" from a delicious cake into your tea scoop. But that's not all! You can also use this same brush to "paint" your yi xing teapot with hot water while it steeps in a tea boat. This process helps keep the teapot warm, heats the tea inside more evenly, and reduces spots on the outside of the pot. If you enjoy bing cha or gong fu tea, this special-purpose implement is a must for your tea table!

5 of 5 Fine animal brush April 15, 2020

I love the brush! It is thick and we'll crafted with an excellent feel in the hand. Two things to point out, neither of them real criticism in my mind. First, there is a fair amount of shedding. I imagine this will stop eventually and it hardly distracts me. Second, the brush comes with pungent animal smell that I really like. You could probably rinse it enough ahead of use to remove the smell but I personally prefer not to. It simply adds another element to the experience and both myself and my sense sensitive spouse find ourselves cherishing it.
