Huang Hua Cha:

Brewing Suggestions

2021 harvest.

The Chinese name of this spectacular tea is Huang Hua Cha, meaning "yellow flower tea." It's an exceptional tea that's produced from an albino varietal of our Imperial Green Tea. When infused, each hand-crafted leaf floats like individual ivory-yellow flower.

Albino tea plants are extremely rare — in acres of tea plants, only a few exist, making it very difficult to produce a small batch of this beautiful and incomparable tea.

The elegant, large, twisted golden leaves have a pleasant vegetable aroma. The texture of this tea on the palate is what sets it apart from any other green tea you'll drink. Mellow, sweet, and buttery flavor without any bitterness or astringency. Ivory Blossom is one of a kind.

We suggest infusing this tea in 175-180 degree water for 2-3 minutes. Always adjust temperature, steeping time and amount of tea used according to your personal preference. Don't be afraid to experiment!
