Generally, there is a lot of confusion over how "milk" Oolong is made. Although milk powder is sometimes used to fertilize tea plants in hopes of getting more of that "milky" taste, however, it is mostly done for marketing purposes. As milk Oolong continued to garner recognition, merchants began to use artificial flavorings and chemical extracts, applied directly to lower grade Oolong teas, in order to maximize profit. The truth is, the milk essence is similar to the elusive "muscatel" flavors in great Darjeelings; even the best gardens cannot guarantee abundant or even consistent amounts of flavor. In this case, the same thing applies to the floral "milkiness" that is unique to Jin Xuan varietal Oolongs of Taiwan. This lightly oxidized varietal displays an elegant yet insistent milky flavor and a uniquely creamy mouth-feel. This offering of authentic milk Oolong is simply not to be missed!

5 of 5 Jin Xuan "Milky" Oolong October 23, 2019

Just amazing tea - much richer flavor and fragrance than milk oolongs I have tried elsewhere. I tried to match their tea in NYC's Chinatown and couldn't find one that tasted as good, so took the time to order from San Francisco.

I had a problem using the online order form due to a browser issue, and the staff were very helpful in helping me fix it.

Used to drinking black tea -- Lychee Black; Ceylon; JinJunMei; etc -- After a cup of JinXuan, I am hooked!
The 'milky' flavor is truly a wonder.  Those tea scientists are outstanding for delivering such level of innovation.

5 of 5 Another perfect tea experience November 5, 2017

I recently had some (inferior) milky oolong, which reminded me how much I loved Imperial Tea Court's. So I ordered some, it arrived in a flash, and it is as spectacularly delicious as I remembered.
