Brewing Suggestions

Due to Roy’s health issues, we are late in announcing this year’s Imperial Lotus Heart Dragon Well. Roy has decided to go back to tradition this year. Our Lotus Heart was produced with a higher pan firing temperature and we revived the traditional practice of wrapping the tea in rough paper packets, then storing them in a lime-lined urn for 10 days to draw out unwanted moisture. The result is a Lotus Heart that is full of strength and intensity. The liquor is yellowish green with a toasty and nutty aromatic and an intense chewy and silky texture. The finish is amazingly clean and long-lasting. This year’s Lotus Heart is unlike any other and would be a tea that Lu Yu himself would be proud of. The 2018 Lotus Heart is not an opportunity you should allow yourselves to miss. Due to the strength of this year’s Lotus Heart, a smaller amount of tea and low temperature infusion is strongly advised.
