An instant hit with tea drinkers when first introduced, our naturally scented Tangerine Sencha has become one of the most popular selections in our San Francisco teahouse. Embraced by adults and children alike, Tangerine Sencha makes a perfect introduction to green tea and tastes great iced, too.

Preperation:

As one of the more delicate green teas it is important to treat Sencha with care when brewing. Therefore we recommend using water no hotter than 70C (158F) and preferably somewhere between 55 and 65C (131-149F). After pre-warming the steeping cup or teapot fill with approximately one teaspoon of leaf per cup and infuse for 2 to 3 minutes. If prepared in this way Sencha should yield 3 to 4 infusions or more. Always adjust quantity of leaves, temperature and steeping time according to the flavor intensity desired.
