Organic Sencha*:

A unique and well-known style of green tea popularized in Japan. Sencha's deep green color and distinctively fresh, grassy flavor come from special steam processing during manufacture.

As one of the more delicate green teas it is important to treat Sencha with care to avoid excessive bitterness when brewing. Therefore we recommend using water no hotter than 70C (158F) and preferrably somewhere between 55 and 65C (131-149F). After pre-warming the steeping cup or teapot fill with approximately 3-5 grams of leaf 10-12 oz of water and infuse for 2 to 3 minutes. If prepared in this way Sencha should yield several infusions.
