Orchid Oolong*:

This newly refined version, our long-popular Orchid Oolong is now made using premium quality Tie Guan Yin that has been fired before being scented with Chinese "Magnolia" (Yulan orchid) blossoms. The result is a gentle yet rich and intensely floral tea with the Ti Kuan Yin varietal's unmistakable aroma and taste. The almost fruity orchid flavor becomes apricot- and peach-like as the liquor cools. A superb tea you will find hard to forget.

We suggest steeping 3-5 grams of tea per 8 oz. of water at 70-80C for 1-2 minutes. Lower water temperature and lengthen steeping time to produce more floral character; raise water temperature and shorten steeping time to produce more intensity and full flavors. As always, adjust quantity of leaves, time and temperature according to personal preference.

A very soft and fruity tea.  This is my first batch of this, and it makes a very welcome change of pace from the more challenging (i.e., various fired oolongs, ti guan yin, mao feng, etc.) as it seems to resist bitterness and has a nice soft "mouth feel."  It's pretty sweet, so don't be surprised by that.
