This beautiful round-bodied pot displays one more aspect of the potter's skill. Both sides of this pot are graced by hand-carved craftsmanship. The delicate plum blossom branch is matched with a traditional couplet extolling the three friends of winter--the pine, the bamboo and the plum blossom, along with three fruits of spring--the peach, the plum and the apricot. Signed by the artist. Excellent workmanship, beautiful clay, a pot to be treasured.
