Generally, there is a lot of confusion over how "milk" Oolong is made. Although milk powder is sometimes used to fertilize tea plants in hopes of getting more of that "milky" taste, however, it is mostly done for marketing purposes. As milk Oolong continued to garner recognition, merchants began to use artificial flavorings and chemical extracts, applied directly to lower grade Oolong teas, in order to maximize profit. The truth is, the milk essence is similar to the elusive "muscatel" flavors in great Darjeelings; even the best gardens cannot guarantee abundant or even consistent amounts of flavor. In this case, the same thing applies to the floral "milkiness" that is unique to Jin Xuan varietal Oolongs of Taiwan. This lightly oxidized varietal displays an elegant yet insistent milky flavor and a uniquely creamy mouth-feel. This offering of authentic milk Oolong is simply not to be missed!

I like doing business with a small firm that is efficient and follows through. They contacted me because of a shipping address concern and shipped the next day. no time lost. Excellent quality of tea - milky Oolong is a favorite. i have tried Milky Oolongs from several other companies and they are not as soft and pleasantly flavored in a natural way as this one. No added fragrance. Celestial!

I am not a fan of scented teas but this natural aroma is divine. i had it in the tea shop in SF for the first time. i tried it form other companies and now am happy to be back to your version of Milky Oolong since it is the most authentic.

I have been a fan of green oolongs for several years - it's my daily drink.
I started with Pouchong, moved onto Tung Ting but right now Imperial Tea's Jin Xuan is my current favorite. Lot's of depth, great mouth feel, complexity and you can taste the freshness.
I love it!

Jin Xuan Oolong January 3, 2016

I was able to try several brews and it seemed to leave a dry mouth feel . . I'm not sure if the buttery taste is natural or if it may be from some flavoring incorporated into the tea during its processing or growth cycle.  Its a pleasant tea enough tea that I would probably try again.
