Brewing Suggestions

A unique Imperial blend of superior black teas balanced in the classic tradition of complex, full-flavored breakfast teas. Beautifully colored in bright amber tones, Imperial Breakfast's spicy aroma and well-rounded taste refresh with hints of citrus and a whisper of smoke. Best with a wedge of lemon or sugar, try this alternative start to the day or as a stimulating tea break.

Preperation:

Imperial Breakfast is a versatile tea which may be prepared with either a large teapot, individual gaiwans or gong fu style in an Yixing clay pot. We suggest 3-4 grams of tea per 10 oz of water, infuse with just boiling water at an infusion time of 3 to 5 minutes in order to bring out the fullest flavor. Because of the quality of the teas blended together in Imperial Breakfast, it may be resteeped several times. After the first infusion you may wish to increase the steeping time, and for the third and subsequent infusions, water which has just come to a boil may be used.

Sampler Gift December 16, 2015
Reviewer: JLI from CA United States
The monthly subscription being beyond my budget for a gift, I reasoned that I could create a sampler gift. With great delight I selected seven different teas including a couple special ones (plus one for me) and ordered appropriately-sized tins for each. The package arrived promptly, and everything was carefully packed against carrier handling equipment. This is a unique gift for a special man who enjoys fine tea.

Not what I expected October 21, 2015

The description says "Imperial Breakfast's spicy aroma and well-rounded taste refresh with hints of citrus and a whisper of smoke". It's not at all like that too me, tastes too much like a flower, like jasmine tea does. I don't get hints of smoke which is what I was looking for.

Great September 18, 2015

This is a really nice blend with floral over-notes and stands up well to milk and sugar. I use Sucanat for sweetening which lends a brown sugar-like taste and is less sweet than regular sugar.

I will order this one again.
