Brewing Suggestions

Large lovingly hand-crafted leaves and downy silver buds make up this attractive "yellow bud" tea of Anhui province. A fascinating product notable for the deeply floral character of its infusion. Rich, full and smooth, green tea drinkers will appreciate the opportunity to sample this rare treasure.

Preparation:
To prepare Huo Shan Huang Ya we recommend infusion in a traditional covered steeping cup (although a regular teapot is also serviceable). Place 1-2 teaspoons of leaf into a pre-warmed gaiwan and fill with with 65-75°C (149-158°F). Infuse for 1 to 2 minutes, cover and drink or pour out into tasting cups. Huo Shan Huang Ya may be brewed multiple times by gradually increasing steeping time and water temperature.
