On a recent trip to Yin Ko, Taiwan's premier ceramics center, Roy discovered this stunning porcelain tea set, drenched in 18k gold. The rectilinear teapot mixes the square, a Chinese symbol for the earth, with stylized blue and white depictions of clouds borrowed from Imperial tradition, thus we dubbed it the Golden Heaven and Earth tea set. In addition to the teapot, the set includes two matching cups and a draining tray. A beautiful decorative item that puts your good taste in tea culture on display. Note: due to the delicate nature of the 18-karat gold glaze on this tea set, it is not recommended for actual tea brewing.
