For Kit Chow, born in Kaiping county in southern China and educated in Hong Kong, All the Tea in China began as a personal search to improve his own health. Over one and a half years of research led him back to China where he met with tea growers, doctors and lifelong tea drinkers. Now residing in San Francisco and in perfect health he says, "Tea saved my life."

Co-author Ione Kramer spent over 20 years in Beijing working for China Reconstructs magazine, where she gathered much information for this book. She now resides in California where she is a freelance writer and editor.
