Description

Our Aged Hong Mei Mao Feng is an uncommon black tea from Zhejiang whose name loosely translates "Red Plum Flower Tip." Mao feng is the style of leaf that looks like a pointy blade, and this is the most delicate mao feng possible, consisting exclusively of a tip that is jet black and beautifully twisted into a long, thin, springy strand.

The unusually attractive appearance is the result of rolling the leaf by hand three times, with intervals in between to control oxidation. In the aged version of Hong Mei Mao Feng you'll notice a pronounced concentration of flavors and aroma that highlights this tea's unique preserved plum taste. An extraordinarily fragrant and robustly flavorful tea that connoisseurs savor.
